Enhance your English Language Arts and Reading lessons by deepening your Depth of Knowledge (DOK) in the alignment of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Prekindergarten (three-year-olds) through second grade, with a focused progression in Phonics and Phonemic Awareness. This enhancement will be achieved through the implementation of research-based activities, explicit instructional methods, and the integration of differentiated strategies to support language development, as evidenced by increased comprehensible input and output of all learners.
This session is mandatory for PEIMS secretaries, but other office staff are welcome to attend. In this session, participants will learn about updates to PEIMS requirements for the 2025-2026 school year. Participants will also review best practices and expectations for maintaining data throughout the school year.
